Description
In the manner of Massimiliano Soldani Benzi (Italian 1656-1740). An 18th century bronze figure of Mars after Francois Duquesnoy (Flemish 1597-1643), the Roman god holding an oval shield and a sword, standing on a naturalistic base, 29.7cm high.
A cast of this present figure by Soldani can be found in the Bargello Museum in Florence.
