Description
A Regency mahogany and brass inlaid writing table, decorated with stylised Greek key, leaves, stars and owner's initials, the top with a hinged and lift-out glass inkwell and pen compartment, the further hinged writing surface inset with later gilt tooled leather revealing an interior with a drawer, above a frieze drawer, on trestle ends and leaf cast brass sabot and castors, 79cm high, 76.7cm wide, 61.2cm deep.
Provenance: Purchased by the current vendor from Christie's South Kensington, Christie's Interiors, 16th December 2008, lot 611.
