A rare pair of Regency cut-paper and watercolour Christmas stars by Henry Maynard, the centres painted with religious scenes and decorated with birds, angels and figures holding crosses, with foil initials 'M W M', signed 'By Hy. Maynard, Kingston' and dated '1811', 19.6 x 19.8cm, in a glazed giltwood frame. (2)
Provenance: 'A Lifetime of Collecting'-The property of a gentleman.
These cut-paper pictures were probably made by Henry Maynard, 3rd Viscount Maynard (1788-1865).
