A pair of early 19th century hand-coloured engraved Royal portrait penny prints, of 'KING WILLIAM the FOURTH' and 'QUEEN ADELAIDE', 9.1 x 6.9cm, together with a pair of similar Royal portrait bust prints, titled 'PRINCE COBOURG' and 'PRINCESS OF WALES', all in glazed ebonised and reeded frames. (4)

Provenance: 'A Lifetime of Collecting'-The property of a gentleman.

The Princess of Wales was George IV's daughter, Charlotte Augusta (1796-1817). She married Leopold I, King of the Belgians (1790-1865) on 2nd May 1816. After only a year of and a half of marriage Charlotte tragically died after delivering a still-born son.
