Description

An Etruscan-Revival 19th century gold brooch, the terminals formed with a rotating small Etruscan carnelian scarab, (c. 3rd century BC), and carved with a bird, with a circular filigree rosette to the other, the cross design mounted with five lozenge-shaped hardstones centred with Christ and four winged faces probably depicting the disciples, the body applied with four fine wirework circles spelling ROMA, 7cm wide
