Description

A 19th century three-colour glass intaglio depicting Hercules carrying the Erymanthian boar, inscribed with pseudo-signature for Likos, in gold ring mount, intaglio 2.4cm high, ring size S

A similar example was in the collection of Prince Stanislas Poniatowski, carved in sardonyx, with a drawing by Callandrelli. It is likely that lot 1522 is a copy of the original.
