A RARE CHINESE CINNABAR LACQUER BITONG
18TH CENTURY
The cylindrical body carved in relief over a metal base with ladies and children in gardens, with leafy trees, ornamental rockwork and flowers around them, all set against an elaborate cell diaper ground, 17.2cm.
Provenance: purchased from Gerard Levy, Paris, c.2007.
