A LARGE CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK 'BAXIAN' PANEL
18TH/19TH CENTURY
Decorated with the Eight Immortals celebrating the birthday of the Queen Mother of the West, the goddess sits on a raised dais before two attendants while her guests present her with gifts, all set on a tangerine ground decorated with pine, peach, finger citron and other plants, flowers and funghi, 120cm x 295cm.
