A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE 'CHILONG' PENDANT
QIANLONG 1736-95
Carved in openwork with the mythical beast clambering over an axe-head, with its bifurcated tail occupying the central aperture, the stone with some minor white mottling, 5.8cm.
Provenance: formerly the collection of a Cheltonian gentleman whose father, who was in Hong Kong during the first quarter of 20th century, formed the collection.
