TWO CHINESE JADE 'FISH' CARVINGS

17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY

One celadon jade, the fish carved with a bearded dragon's head, the other of flattened form depicting a scaly fish amongst seaweed and lotus leaves, the stone of a grey colour with russet markings, 7.5cm and 5.4cm. (2)

Provenance: the larger purchased from Gerard Hawthorn, the smaller acquired from Nader Rasti.
