A CHINESE KESI SCROLL

LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY

Depicting Magu standing carrying a peach spray over her shoulders and holding lingzhi in her left hand, with an attendant carrying a jar before her, both set beneath a pine tree and flowering prunus and magnolia branches, the figures flanked by rockwork, with two seals, 75cm x 41.5cm.

Provenance: by repute, purchased in Singapore c.1940s.
