A LARGE CHINESE ENAMELLED AND BISCUIT FIGURE IN THE STYLE OF ZENG LONGSHENG

20TH CENTURY

Depicting a seated musician, his right palm supporting a flute which rests against his shoulder, wearing a loose gilt-decorated jacket tied at the waist with a red belt, his trousers painted with flowers reserved on a pink ground, 49.5cm.

Zeng Longsheng (1901-1964) was a potter at the Jingdezhen kilns during the Republic Period who specialised in figural works.
