A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'BAXIAN' TRIPOD INCENSE BURNER

KANGXI 1662-1722

The compressed circular body with a flared everted rim, painted to the exterior with Shoulao riding a crane towards the Eight Immortals, the Immortals standing in a rocky landscape and depicted with their attributes, all supported on three short tapering feet, 25.2cm.

Provenance: from the estate of Anne Marie Wood, Warwickshire, acquired no later than the 1990s.
