A CHINESE YIXING HEXAGONAL-SECTION TEAPOT AND COVER
KANGXI 1662-1722
Each facet of the compressed body decorated in relief with a floral spray, one side set with an ear-shaped loop handle issuing from the mouth of a mythical beast, the cover moulded with flowering prunus branches, with a knop formed as a gnarled tree stump, all raised on a short hexagonal foot, 14.5cm. (2)
