A MASSIVE JAPANESE BRONZE JARDINIERE
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The flattened bulbous body raised on a short foot, with a bale of terrapins scattered around the rim and to the body, the animals varying in size and with some clambering upon others, the details of the carapaces naturalistically rendered, 34cm high, 60cm dia.
