A MASSIVE JAPANESE BRONZE VASE BY TAKAHASHI RYOUN
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
The baluster body decorated with a continuous scene of two chickens in a bamboo grove, one looking quizzically at a grasshopper before them, with blossoming chrysanthemum to the side, their eyes inlaid, the base with a four character seal mark for Takahashi Ryoun, 60cm.
