Description

A JAPANESE IMARI TEAPOT AND COVER
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH/20TH CENTURY
With a rectangular-section body and a tall loop handle, the lid shaped as a chrysanthemum flower, the sides with panels of further blossoms and formal designs, the character for 'longevity' painted to the back and shoulder; together with a pair of bronze crouching shishi, marked Shuzan / Hideyama, 15.3cm max. (4)
