A Japanese bone mounted sword (tachi), deeply curved homogenous steel blade 25 in., acid etched to imitate a hamon; profusely and finely carved bone hilt and scabbard depicting a battle scene featuring mounted and foot warriors, bands on each carved with writhing dragons and mythical birds, the top of the hilt carved as a dragon's head.
