A Victorian 1846 pattern Naval officer's sword, fullered blade 29 in. with etched decoration, gilt-brass solid 'gothic' hilt with fouled anchor to the cartouche, folding inner guard with no provision for a retaining stud, lion head pommel with mane extending down the back strap, shagreen grip, sword knot, leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts.
