A large and early Martin Brothers stoneware jug by Robert Wallace Martin, dated 1881, ovoid with over-slung handle, incised with a geometric overlapping fan motif in brown and black on a buff ground, impressed R W Martin, Southall mark, incised 15.1.81, museum restoration to side, 25cm. high
