An early Martin Brothers stoneware jug by Robert Wallace Martin, dated 1874, shouldered from with angular buttressed handle, incised with japoniste flower and foliage band on textured ground, the spout with heraldic lion shield, in blue and brown on a buff ground incised R W Martin 3.2.74, Fulham, professional restoration, 20cm. high
