λ A Victorian carved oak stick barometer by Carpenter & Westley, the ivory dials for yesterday and today with twin adjustable vernier scales, signed 'Carpenter & Westley 24 Regent Strt. London', in a Jacobean revival case carved with a winged angel mask surmount, above scrolls and fruit, the stem with a caryatid figure wearing a crown of laurel, holding a branch and a lyre, 102cm high.
