Description
A French Louis XVI ormolu cartel clock, with a later eight day brass drum movement striking on a bell, the backplate stamped 'G S 432' and with a pastille inscribed 'MEDAILLE DE BRONZE P Marti et Cie', the circular enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, signed 'RENARD ET REIMS', the classical case with an urn surmount applied with ram's heads supporting swags of laurel leaves, with lattice and Vitruvian scroll decoration, 72.5cm high.
