A set of five Italian painted dining chairs, decorated with flowers and leaves, each with a cartouche back with a pierced splat, above a later stuffed-over seat, originally with a rush seat, on cabriole front legs united by a shaped 'H' stretcher, together with a similar chair, probably North Italian, late 18th / early 19th century.
