the lid carved with Eve accompanied by various animals beside the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, above a Latin motto 'Totus Mundus In Maligno Mali Positus', with a brass band and a leaf border, the base carved with a seated figure and an indistinct motto '...Here Redde Diem'
