QIAN ZAI (1703-93)
BAMBOO, PINE AND ROCK
A Chinese scroll painting, ink on silk, title-slip by Fan Jia, signed and dated by Qian Zai with three artist's seals, also inscribed and dated to the twelfth year of the Jiaqing period (1808) by Yi Bingshou (1754-1815) with two artist's seals, also with one collector's seal, 104cm x 41cm.
Provenance: from the collection of Carol Cameron who was a British chargée d'affaires in Beijing. The painting was purchased from an antique shop in Beijing c.1965.
