A SMALL CHINESE GARLIC-MOUTH VASE

18TH CENTURY

The ovoid body raised on a short spread foot and surmounted by a tall slender neck, all coated in an olive-coloured glaze, the rim interior glazed white, with a paper label reading 'NS 97' to the base, 14.9cm.

Provenance: formerly the collection of Norma Simmons; and then an English private collection, West Sussex, purchased from Bluett and Sons c.1986.

Norma Simmons collected monochromes from 1954 to the mid 1980s and she was a personal friend of Roger and Joan Bluett.
