A MASSIVE JAPANESE ARITA WHITE GLAZED VASE
EDO PERIOD, 18TH CENTURY
The ovoid body raised on a stepped foot, a tall trumpet-shaped neck rising above, the shoulders with elephant head handles, 79.8cm.
It is possible that this impressive vase is a blank piece meant to be enamelled or lacquered at a later stage.
