A PAIR OF JAPANESE BRONZE VASES

MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY

The bodies cast with a continuous scene of a bird of prey and smaller birds amongst pine, the shoulders decorated with bands of lappets, both raised on four shaped feet, both 28cm. (2)

Provenance: from the collection of Anne Hull-Grundy (1926-1984) and thence by descent.
