A PAIR OF JAPANESE EMBROIDERED PANELS

MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH OR 20TH CENTURY

One depicting a lion and a lioness resting amongst tall grasses, the other with two reclining tigers bearing their teeth, all in gold and cream-coloured threads on a black ground, with original frames and glazed, both 56.7cm x 74.5cm. (2)
