A CHINESE BRASS 'ZODIAC' BRAZIER AND COVER
LATE QING DYNASTY
The compressed circular body tapering towards the foot, the shoulder flanked by two butterflies in relief supporting a large loop handle, the openwork cover decorated with two scaly dragons contesting a sacred jewel above a band of medallions enclosing the twelve animals of the zodiac, 37cm dia, 7kg.
