A CHINESE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS
QING DYNASTY
Depicted seated in dhyanasana upon a rectangular pedestal which flares towards the base, with his hands held upon his lap in dhyana mudra, he wears body jewellery and simple robes, his hair adorned with beads and with traces of cold painting, all framed by a flaming mandorla set behind him, 20.1cm, 1.9kg.
