A CHINESE SILVER MODEL OF A WAR JUNK
REPUBLIC PERIOD
The ship finely detailed with figures and cannon on board, flying flags for the Nationalist Party, the Republic of China and two which read Li, Guangdong haifang jibu for the Guangdong Sea Defence Force, with punch marks reading jie and 'W0Co?', the model screwed to a wood base formed as stylised waves, together with a large wood stand and glass display case, the stand set with a silver plaque inscribed 'Model of a Chinese war junk, presented by Captain W Beswick, 1932', 45.5cm, 1.2kg.
