A CHINESE BAMBOO CARVING OF LIU HAI
QING DYNASTY
Formed as Liu Hai seated upon the three-legged toad, he wears a pair of hooped earrings and trousers held up by a belt suspending two peaches, the creature carved with bulging eyes and its mouth agape revealing a toothy grin, 17.5cm.
