A CHINESE POLYCHROME VASE
LATE 19TH CENTURY
The ovoid body painted in the famille verte palette with two large panels enclosing warriors in battle, all reserved on a turquoise floral-decorated ground, the flaring neck decorated with two open handscrolls depicting further figural scenes against a yellow ground, with ruyi-heads encircling the mouthrim, 45.5cm.
