A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE ARMORIAL TUREEN AND COVER
QIANLONG 1736-95
Brightly decorated in enamels and gilt with sprays of peony and other flowers, with a dense band of flowers and leaves to the edge of the cover, painted with armorials depicting a white hound's head between plumes of feathers and leaves, the banner reading 'Toujours Fidelle', with two animal head-shaped handles, the cover surmounted by a finial formed as a lion dog, 34cm.
