A SMALL COLLECTION OF CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE ITEMS

MING AND QING DYNASTY

Comprising: a circular box and cover, a larger bowl and cover and a dish with paper labels for Christie's, 6.7.84, lot 385, a pair of prunus-decorated bowls and covers with paper labels which read 'Hatcher Collection Christie's June 1984', a pair of 'phoenix' bowls with six character Jiajing marks and a pair of small saucers, all four with paper labels reading 'The Hatcher Collection, Christie's Amsterdam, 14-03-1984', 19.9cm max. (13)

Provenance: from a deceased estate, Dorset. The pair of saucers and 'phoenix' bowls formerly from the Hatcher Collection, and then purchased from C P Sheffield on 24th March 1984. The dish and larger blue and white bowl and cover purchased from Christie's London on 6th July 1984, lot 385 (part lot). The smaller blue and white circular box and cover purchased from Artemesia, Alresford on 10th September 1987. Copies of the invoices are available.
