Description

A rare Edwardian novelty silver Suffragette pepper pot,

by Saunders and Shepherd, Chester 1908,

modelled as standing lady wearing a bonnet, and holding two placards faintly inscribed on ivorine 'VOTES FOR WOMEN', the reverse with 'WE CAN MAKE THINGS HOT FOR YOU', height 8.3cm, approx. weight 1.5oz.
