An early 19th century carnelian intaglio depicting Cupid disguised as Ascanius, presenting the gifts to Dido, with a Greek pseudo signature for Nikolas, 3.5cm wide, in a gold pendant frame by Luigi Mascaelli (1804-1825), with polished and textured pattern border, French control mark and maker's mark, 5.5cm wide
