An Ojibwa dated beaded belt

Leech Lake Reservation, Minnesota

sack cloth, cloth and coloured glass and cut steel beads, with two floral sprays and a date 1916,

89cm long.

With a hand written note - Made by Chippewa Indians near Leechlake, Minnesota for Mom's Uncle George Mankins who was a fishing & hunting guide there. He was married to Mom's aunt Bernice who was Grandma Hetricks' sister.
