Description
Melody a rare Della Robbia tile plaque by Ellen Mary Rope, rectangular, cast in low relief with children playing musical instruments around a central tree whilst others rest and listen, in shades of blue, green and brown, signed Rope bottom left corner, repaired, 48.5 x 29cm.

The Studio volume 13, 1898 page 190 for an example of this plaque illustrated. this example listed as designed by Miss Rope and painted by E.M. Wood.
