A MAHOGANY CHIMING LONGCASE CLOCK
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the substantial brass three train movement with turned pillars and an anchor escapement, the eleven inch cylinder with eight beaters (one broken), striking on tubular bells the Whittington and Westminster chimes, the arched twelve and a half inch dial with a silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals, the centre with a subsidiary seconds dial, the arch with Whittington / Westminster dial, applied with gilt brass engraved scrolling foliage, the hood with a swan neck pediment and fluted columns above a glazed trunk door
