A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE BELT BUCKLE
QING DYNASTY
Formed as two sections, each pierced and carved in low relief with archaistic scrolls, the hook shaped as the head of a mythical beast, with a further animal mask to the other section, the stone with some russet inclusions, 12.5cm overall. (2)
Provenance: from the collection of Wing Commander F W Hilton (d.1990s), and thence by descent.
