A LARGE CHINESE EMBROIDERED SILK 'DRAGON' PANEL
QING DYNASTY
Brightly decorated in gold and coloured threads with two large writhing dragons contesting a sacred pearl over colourful rocks and tempestuous waters, the fearsome beasts surrounded by lotus sprays, with precious objects dispersed throughout, the scene flanked by two broad bands of key fret, all against a light brown ground, with pale gold silk to the reverse, 1.4m x 3.1m.
