A CHINESE SOAPSTONE FIGURE AND A BAMBOO CARVING OF A SAMPAN
19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The figure depicted standing holding a fly whisk in his left hand, his loose robes incised with lotus scrolls and stylised waves, together with a wood stand, the bamboo carving detailed with figures and animals at leisure on the boat, 14.7cm and 21.2cm. (3)
