A PAIR OF JAIN SILVER STANDING FIGURES
18TH/19TH CENTURY
Each modelled naked in the standing posture of 'body abandonment' (kayotsarga), the female figure inset with rubies to her nose and third eye, her hair with a hinged plait, the figures raised on later circular stepped bases, each base incised with an 'M', 23.9cm, each 1.4kg. (2)
