Description

A CHINESE QINGBAI BOWL

SONG DYNASTY

Rising from a tapering foot to a gently flaring rim, the interior incised with twenty-two roundels enclosing stylised scrolls, decorated in a pale blue glaze which pools around the foot, the base left unglazed, 18.5cm.

Provenance: formerly a Hong Kong private collection; purchased from Susan Chen & Co on 25th July 1985; sold by Marchant on 19th June 1991; formerly the collection of a titled English gentleman.
