A LARGE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE ARMORIAL 'MARRIAGE' DISH FOR THE DUTCH MARKET
C.1750
Painted with the arms of the Zinzerling Family of Holland and the van Musschenbroek Family of Utrecht, with panels enclosing landscapes and birds perched on flowering branches to the rim, the base with paper labels for A W Harrison, Gainsborough, and Carmichaels, Hull, together with a letter from David Howard dated 15th July 1975 where he discusses the dish, 38.2cm.
Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
