A PAIR OF CHINESE IRON-RED 'LOTUS' DISHES
SIX CHARACTER TONGZHI MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD 1862-74
Decorated with lotus flowerheads set amidst scrolling foliage, each with four shou characters in gilt to the cavetto, raised on short tapering feet, 23.5cm. (2)
Provenance: from an English private collection, given to the current owner c.1958.
