Description

A CHINESE ENAMELLED VASE

REPUBLIC PERIOD

The ovoid body surmounted by a short neck and everted rim, painted with an old man walking by a basket of lingzhi and a burning stove, with two bats in flight amongst the rising smoke, inscribed with calligraphy followed by seal marks which read Qi and Mi Dao, dated the renshen year and with a signature reading Wang Qi, the base with a further Mi Dao seal mark, 22cm.
